I love working with people, and I especially love seeing how the Lord works in the lives of His people through the means of Christian counseling. You may be feeling as if you’ve lost hope, or thinking it’s too late for your problems to be fixed. But from my professional and personal experience, I can testify that it’s never too late to experience hope in Christ. With God’s direction and guidance, we will work together to implement proven therapeutic practices to help you find the restoration you’re longing for – whether it’s in your relationships or within your own personal growth.
My Goal as a Christian Counselor
My goal is that through our work together, you will experience an increased sense of empowerment and joy – and not just a temporary joy, but a deep-seated, lasting joy in Jesus that can withstand daily struggles. My hope is that you will be empowered to confidently seek guidance and understanding when encountering crises that may arise in your life. As a client-led therapist, my aim is to help you take the lead in establishing your own goals for treatment, while I walk alongside you and support you each step of the way.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
I offer a friendly, warm environment and a safe, non-judgmental space in which you can share your story and expect to be heard. I have several years of experience working with a variety of age groups ranging from children to seniors facing a wide range of mental health issues. In our sessions, I will bring insights gained from my training and clinical experience in order to help you experience the positive change you desire.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
I believe inviting Christ our Savior into all aspects of our lives – including counseling – allows for a deeper understanding of issues and strengthens the chances of lasting positive outcomes. As a Christian counselor, I confide in God as my provider and strength. Depending on your comfort level, I may ask you if it is okay to pray and invite Him into our discussions. Of course you always have the right to say no. With the Lord on our side, we can be confident that we will gain the ultimate victory through Christ.
Qualifications & Experience
I have a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. While attending graduate school, I completed a paid internship at All Church Home for Children under the clinical supervision of Solution-Focused Therapists. I then accepted a full-time position at All Church Home for Children and received further training in Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) by Karyn Purvis and Neurobiology Informed approach by Bruce Perry. After branching out from working with children and families, I began working as a licensed social worker in healthcare and mental health, in which I received further training in Psychosocial Theory and Development and several integrated therapies such as Narrative Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
My Call to Christian Counseling
I served as a peer counselor when I was in high school and an usher throughout my youth years in church, so I knew early in life I wanted to help others. The call to Christian counseling was very similar to my call to social work, to make my life’s work fruitful and pleasing to God. After several years working in social work, both clients and colleagues suggested I pursue full-time counseling.

Aging and Geriatric Issues
With over six years of professional experience working with the aging and geriatric population, I have gained a tremendous amount of insight and empathy that will allow for relatability and comfort during the counseling experience. I understand a multitude of issues that specifically affect the aging population and will help or your loved one navigate those issues with grace and hope.
Family Counseling
It is my belief that affecting positive change for children and teens starts with the family unit. Family dynamics are complex, as no single family is the same as another. Having a counselor to look at the whole from an outside but capable lens can bring healing to you and your family member(s), with God’s help.
Grief and Loss
As a Hospice social worker, I have provided grief and loss counseling for those in the end-of-life stage. Having said this, grief and loss can be experienced in any stage of our lives, and may not necessarily be related to death. In either case, I believe it is so important to allow yourself to grieve and process. Through my personal and professional experience, I have learned several ways to cope with grief and loss that I will share with you in our sessions together.
Individual Counseling
I value one-on-one interaction and discussion. In our sessions I will seek to build a positive, trusting professional relationship. I have a framework of therapeutic approaches depending on your needs, and I will guide and support you as you create your own goals for treatment. My primary objective is for you to feel supported as you take steps to find the healing and restoration you desire.
Women’s Issues
Although men and women both have struggles in life and similar life experiences, such as depression and anxiety, dating and marriage, there are additional issues that intrinsically affect men or intrinsically affect women. These unique issues for women are ideally addressed by someone who has or is walking the same walk. As a female practitioner, I offer a safe space for other women to be open and vulnerable and to discuss and work through the unique concerns they face.
