In this video, I discuss the importance of incorporating a daily meditation practice within your life. I took an eight-week course on mindfulness-based stress reduction, in which I learned various meditative practices that have vastly changed the course of my own life.
I can personally now say how important meditation and solitude prayer time alone with God is for your wellbeing. Research states that this is beneficial for physical as well as mental wellbeing and in this video I discuss some of these facts from an article on WebMD that talks about this notion.

I understand that some people who don’t know enough about meditation may think it’s weird for Christians to be involved with it. I have to tell you that I believe in quite the opposite. Jesus took solitude time out for prayer in the garden and mountaintops to be alone with God and with His own thoughts.
I incorporate my faith in Jesus into my daily meditation practice every day, at least 20 minutes a day. It has dramatically changed how I handle my own stress level, how I go about my day, and how I deal with what life throws at me along the way.
I can’t stress enough how important this practice is. I encourage you to give it a chance with a positive attitude, which I discuss more in my video. I recommend that you see a therapist such as myself to learn these meditative practices, as well as taking an intensive course like I did to grow your knowledge base on Christian meditation and what will work best for you.
In this video I also discuss the benefits of daily meditation for Christians and how it can lower your stress levels and anxiety, depression, grief/loss struggles, pain management, sleep issues, etc. Research states how all of these issues can improve with a daily practice of meditation.
