As your counselor, I will work with you to explore your concerns and help you establish clear, achievable goals. Pursuing counseling is an excellent first step toward experiencing healing, wholeness, and growth. I believe all of us can live victoriously through Christ – sometimes we just need a little help along the way. I am here to walk with you as you seek to live the peaceful, healthy life God wants for you.
My Goal as a Christian Counselor
My goal is for you to experience positive change so you can live your best life to the fullest. As you gain a deeper sense of God’s love for you and recognize what it means to be made in His image, my hope is that you would grow in your love for Him, find peace that passes understanding, overflow with deep-seated joy, and use your gifts and strengths for His glory.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
I offer a safe, secure environment so you can openly share your concerns. It is important to me to develop a strong rapport with my clients and a welcoming atmosphere so presenting problems can be expressed and addressed. As we collaboratively establish realistic goals for your counseling, I will work with you to meet those goals so you can experience the life you desire, with God’s help.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
I approach counseling as being a team effort as we explore and discuss how can we get you to a better place. As a Christian counselor, I believe faith and a personal relationship with God are such important aspects to true and complete healing. I don’t think anyone can live their best life without Christ. I look forward to being able to discuss spiritual elements with my clients who are comfortable doing so, as we seek the Lord’s guidance and direction for our lives.
Qualifications & Experience
I have a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Lutheran University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Western Washington University. I worked with clients at the clinic at Pacific Lutheran University as well as at Integrated Therapy Services.
Prior to going to graduate school, I volunteered and worked at Care Net of Puget Sound for 20 years and currently serve on the board. I provided lay counseling over the phone and in center for many women deciding what they were going to do with an unplanned pregnancy.
My Call to Christian Counseling
I have wanted to be a counselor since I was 14 years old. I have always been drawn to listening to people talk about their problems, and it is my privilege to be able to use the gifts God has given me to serve others in this way.
More About Me/On a Personal Note
My husband and I have been married for 32 years. We have a 31-year-old daughter, 27-year-old son, 11-year-old daughter, and two grandchildren. As my husband has been a Seattle police officer through our entire marriage, I feel I can personally relate to families of first responders. I enjoy getting together with friends, playing with my grandkids and anything having to do with the lake we are blessed to live on. I can also relate to those dealing with grief and bereavement, as my husband and I lost all four of our parents in four years from 2013-2017.

Premarital Counseling
Taking the step to enter into marriage is a monumental decision with lifelong implications. We are all different people with different life experiences and backgrounds. A wise couple will examine themselves as individuals and as a future couple, seeking to identify areas of needed growth and blind spots. Marriage is a lifelong endeavor with many ups and downs. Premarital counseling can help you become the most prepared you can be as you embark upon this new adventure and commitment.
Grief & Loss
Unfortunately, we will all experience loss at some point in our lives. We will all grieve, but not all of us grieve well. I am passionate about helping people work through the grief process and would consider it an honor to journey with you. After losing both of my parents in a span of three years, I feel I can truly empathize and draw from my own grief journey, faith, and professional training to be as helpful as possible to you.
Individual Counseling
I thoroughly enjoy working with individuals and helping with the issues they are facing. We all have times in our lives where we get stuck or struggle, and sometimes a counselor is just what you need to move through these seasons. I would consider it an honor to join you on your journey as we explore what God has in store for you and your future.
Marriage Counseling
Marriage is a long, often amazing and sometimes difficult journey with various peaks and valleys. Sometimes couples get into repetitive unhelpful patterns with no clear way to find relief. There is no shame in seeking marriage counseling. We spend so much time on other aspects of our health—seeking relationship health within marriage is one of the best things we can offer ourselves and our children. Call today to take your marriage to the next level of intimacy and joy.
