I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) working for Seattle Christian Counseling out of their Bothell and Redmond offices. As a counselor, I delight in seeing my clients’ lives transformed and renewed, so that they are able to flourish in their everyday living. My hope for you is that you will be able to use the counseling experience to learn what it is that God has in store for your life, and to reclaim your sense of joy and peace. Whatever issues you may be facing, know that you are very welcome in my office, and that I am here to provide compassionate, empathetic support for you as you seek after God’s healing and wholeness.

My Goal in Christian Counseling

Each person who comes to me for help is a unique individual with specific needs and desires, and so the goals for our work together will depend on your particular circumstances. Ultimately, however, my aim as a counselor is to enable you not only to feel better, but also to actually become better, as a result of your counseling experience. It is my sincerest hope that you will walk out of my office feeling empowered, confident, and whole. It may take us a while to get there, but I am delighted to partner with you as you embark on this journey of healing and self-discovery.

What I Offer in Christian Counseling

First, I provide a safe and welcoming space in which you will feel completely at ease to talk about whatever issues weigh heavily upon your heart, without pretense or fear of judgment. I have clients who come in, kick their shoes off, relax—and I want you to feel absolutely comfortable in our sessions together. More importantly, I offer peace of mind that you are in capable and experienced hands: as a counselor with years of experience, I provide professional insight that is tailored to your needs. I will lend you an empathetic and listening ear, offering discernment and challenging you to always “go deeper.” Most of all, as your Christian counselor, I will do everything within my power to help you get to the place you want to go.

My Approach to Christian Counseling

Because no two people are exactly alike, I tailor my approach to suit the individual needs of each client who comes to me for help. In general, I tend to use a lot of “talk therapy,” encouraging you to clarify your own thoughts by asking pointed questions that help us get to the real heart of your concerns. This means that I spend much of our time listening to you, providing feedback when I discern that you might need to delve a little deeper. When working with victims of trauma, abuse, or severe depression and anxiety, I often utilize my training in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) and Lifespan Integration therapies
